Kompany initiative gets approval

A luxury apartment development in Ancoats backed by Vincent Kompany has been given the go-ahead. Some 75 homes will be built on Bengal Street in a nine-storey building that will replace the former electrical works. [via @MENnewsdesk]

City, United CL game can be switched

City suffer transfer blow

Frankfurt have stated that Man City would have to pay around £40 million to sign Luka Jovic this summer. Pep Guardiola is keen to alleviate some of the pressure on Sergio Aguero by signing a back-up forward but City have been put off by Frankfurt’s £40m valuation. [via Metro]

Man City interesten in young midfielder

Manchester City are interested in Juan Sforza, a 17 year old Argentinian midfielder currently in the Argentinian First Division. AC Milan are leading the race to sign him for €1.5 million, with interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Roma and PSG. [via Mercato]

City face problems on Sane extension

Man City's lack of progress with Leroy Sane's contract negotiations is in part down to the winger's mother, Regina Weber. City, who declined to comment on the subject on Wednesday, have always maintained they expect the 23-year-old to sign an extension. [via @Jack_Gaughan]
