City hopeful of Kompany extension

Man City are still hoping that skipper Vincent Kompany signs a new one year deal. The Belgian international wants more playing time, but City cannot give him any guarantees. Further talks between the two parties are planned for after the FA Cup final. [via @HLNinEngeland]

City face competition for Rodri

Barcelona are willing to pay Rodri's €70m release clause and join Manchester City and Bayern Munich as the clubs vying for Rodri's signature. Atlético Madrid are resigned to losing the player and are looking to use the money they bring in to replace him. [via @La_SER]
