Delph on his frustrations

Fabian Delph: “It was really frustrating, from a very young age all you want to do is play football. I had a great spell the season before when I was playing pretty much every game, then I played pretty much every game up until December and I got sent-off and didn’t feature.”

Fabian Delph: “It’s been frustrating, but to be honest I’m professional, I trained very hard, did everything to be available for the team. The team was in a really good stage and doing really well, I had to bide my time but unfortunately I didn’t get much game time after that.”

Fabian Delph: “I got a niggle towards the end of the season in the Champions League game against Spurs in the collision with Harry Kane and that was pretty much my season over.”
